The art director of Digital Opera, Sergey Novikov, along with 159 other prominent figures in contemporary Russian culture, are featured in a large-scale installation unveiled at the international exhibition «Russia» on November 4th in Moscow.
The «Portrait of Contemporary Russian Culture» spans a 3 by 15-meter panel, showcasing photo portraits of 160 key representatives of contemporary Russian culture, including musicians, theatre and film actors, museum directors, sculptors, film and theatre directors, and artists.
Sergey Novikov is showcased alongside Evgeny Mironov, Fyodor Dobronravov, Kirill Krok, Alexandra Rebenok, Konstantin Khabensky, Innokenty Smoktunovsky, and others.
During the opening ceremony, the Russian Minister of Culture, Olga Lyubimova, declared, «This pavilion will serve as the home of Russian culture for 161 days, nearly half a year.» The interactive section of the exhibition features interviews with the project's participants focusing on the significant events in Russian culture over the past 20 years.
