Yesterday, the VIII Russian National Opera Award «Onegin» took place on the stage of the Mariinsky Theatre!
The gala concert featured performances by Ferruccio Furlanetto, Maria Barakova, Inara Kozlovskaya, Igor Golovatenko, Ivan Gyunghazov, and Hibla Gerzmava.
The ceremony was hosted by Sati Spivakova and Julian Makarov. The symphony orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre was conducted by Valery Gergiev.
Digital Opera Saint-Petersburg team was responsible for the stage and multimedia design of the award:
- Sergey Novikov — set designer, art director
- Maxim Rachkov — technical director
- Ilya Smilga — multimedia artist
Nadezhda Abramova and Sergey Novikov presented the Onegin 2023 award in the category of «Supporting Role» to Pavel Mezhov for his performance as the Teacher in Tchaikovsky's opera « Cherevichki» at the Ural Opera Ballet.
